Kiwi MagazineI don’t subscribe to many magazines (I’m pretty reformed, but our magazine bin is always full to capacity). But as much as I read on-line, green or otherwise, I do like to keep things on hand for browsing or reference that I don’t need to turn on my computer for. KIWI is one of them. KIWI Magazine is a bi-monthly, family-centered publication with a focus on natural and organic lifestyles, but like the fruit, is sweet and many shades of green. KIWI focuses on every aspect of eco-wellness, from health to food to clothing and the fun stuff. KIWI shares the desire held by all parents to create a safe, happy environment for our children that promotes growth and well-being.

The on-line KIWI experience is just as rewarding and brings the magazine even more to life. There’s an awesome recipes page, articles on everything from safe pregnancy to endangered species, a great blog and podcast and KIWI kids funpages to print out and keep your little ones busy all summer. There are also a bunch of newsletters for KIWI in your inbox, with coupons, green tips, and the new cooking club for kids newsletter (there’s no link, but a neat little box where you can enter your email address).

This week, one lucky winner will get a year subscription to KIWI! The rules are the same, as always. Please leave a comment here with an answer to this question - what’s your favorite aspect of KIWI Magazine? You have until next Monday, July 28th at midnight, PST to enter! Good luck!

This contest is now closed! Thanks to everyone for entering!

I love the kids section! This is a great magazine!

Beth G. on 21 July, 2008 at 6:23 am #

The Eco-Craft section would be most helpful for me because I’m always trying to think of neat things to do with the kids but my mind is not coming up with stuff on its on. Maybe because there’s too much on my mind with 3 kids and 1 on the way…I could use this help in my life!! This mag looks very fun and helpful.

Jill L on 21 July, 2008 at 6:51 am #

I like how you put it “Many shades of green” for those of us who may be just getting into being green and don’t it pushed too much.

susan varney on 21 July, 2008 at 8:24 am #

anything abouat kids is good

Jenn S . on 21 July, 2008 at 9:11 am #

I love that they have a special section for social responsibility and activism.

Suzanne B. (Crunchy Green Mom) on 21 July, 2008 at 9:26 am #

I would LOVE to enter this, however that would be selfish since I already have a subscription to this magazine.

It’s one of my luxuries. Get one of the babies down at night, and sit in the living room with the other one while she plays and read this magazine. It has amazing ideas, and it’s a really fun read!

Great giveaway!

I have read KIWI magazine and loved it! It is just more than a family/kid magazine. There is something for everyone and it is really up to date and hip which is more than I can say for some of the other magazines for the same crowd.

Cindi on 21 July, 2008 at 10:33 am #

Hi, A few years ago, I could find this wonderful magazine on the magazine racks here where I live. It hasn’t been available for awhile now. How fun it would be to win a subscription! It is summer and very hot, thus my favorite feature would be the “Eco-
Craft” right now! Please enter me in your delightful drawing. Many thanks, Cindi
